Keeping you safe as we re-open.

We are very excited to welcome all of our members back to our clubs and a healthy lifestyle. Exercise and wellness has proven health benefits to our members’ health and wellness, which has been made even more apparent by the pandemic. As your health, wellness, and fitness experience are priority number one, we have carefully adopted, and in many cases exceeded, the safety guidelines of the State of Illinois so that you can comfortably return to our locations.

What you need to know to prepare to visit YOUR CLUB.

  • Each member will have their own sanitizer bottle for the duration of their workout. Members will receive a sanitized bottle and towel. It is vital for our community that our members clean each piece of equipment after use. This small action will contribute to the best experience possible for all members. After each workout, the member will place the used bottle at marked receptacle. Staff will then sanitize bottles and place back into circulation.
  • The gym is an important part of our community and it is vital that we respect every member’s health and safety. We want to create the safest environment for all our member’s. Illinois requires that you wear a mask at all times while in the facility.
  • Adequate social distancing is one of the conditions our state government has required for gyms reopening. We have made our best efforts to make this easier for our members. We have created solutions in each of the main areas of our gym to make this task easier for our members.
  • Cardio Equipment- We have temporarily shut down every other piece of cardio to give each member adequate space. We have signage on each piece to help remind us of the importance of this policy.
  • Strength machines- We have spaced our equipment out to ensure that there is enough space between each piece. This has required us to relocate or in some cases temporarily disable specific pieces of equipment to create this additional space. We will reopen any pieces that are closed as we receive instructions from the local government.
  • Free weights- There are now clearly identifiable space for members to workout in. We ask that you do your best to not only workout within this space but to clean any equipment after you are finished using it. We feel that the more our members are diligent in their efforts to contribute to a clean club, the sooner we will be allowed to relax these requirements.

Cleaning Protocols

  • Our cleaning procedures will be increased to do our best to keep each piece of equipment as sanitary as possible. We have hired a professional cleaning service to raise our standards to the next level. They will clean each piece of equipment and all other hard surfaces 5 times per week. This will include using an electrostatic fogger to disinfect machines. The foggers will use Vital Oxide which is proven to kill 99.999% of viruses and is approved by the EPA for use against the Covid-19.
  • We will maintain and improve our constant daily cleaning, ensuring that each piece is deep cleaned properly. We will proudly display on each strength and cardio piece the date and time that it was last expertly cleaned by our staff.
  • We expect our staff to be committed to taking the time needed to clean each item to the absolute best of their ability.

Disinfectant Procedures

  • The current disinfectant that is used, Neutral Q128, is EPA registered and is used in medical grade facilities (hospitals, dental offices, nursing homes, and other health care institutions). Product is effective against numerous viruses, including Human Coronavirus.
  • Spray bottles will be sanitized after each usage by staff to limit cross contamination. These used spray bottles placed in a receptacle to be sanitized before the next use.
  • Members and staff will be asked to use hand sanitizer when entering the club and frequently throughout their visit. The hand sanitizer solution kills up to 99.9% of germs and includes 62% ethyl alcohol, above and beyond the CDC’s guidelines of 60%
  • Members will be asked to limit towel use to one towel per visit. Once a member is finished with their used towel they will place these towels in clearly marked receptacles for employees to collect to sanitize after each use.
  • Small Group Training classes are postponed until further instruction from Illinois.
  • For the safety of our members, the lockers and shower area will be closed, and 6 feet of social distancing is required.
  • Retail items will still be for sale. Items will be sanitized on the floor before shelving. Whenever possible, staff should get the retail item being purchased for the member to limit the number of people that are touching the cooler.

Wellness Checks

  • Members and our teams will be asked to not enter facility if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 nor if they have been around someone who is experiencing symptoms.
  • Members and employees will be asked to alert their club’s General Manager if they test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of their last club visit. We will email notification to all potentially exposed persons if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at member’s home location.
  • Employees before each shift will have temperature taken and recorded. In order to keep our facilities safe for all, any staff or member with a temperature exceeding the CDC guideline of 100.04 will be asked to leave the facility.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Staff will be required to wear face masks. These items will be required to be worn in the clubs at all times.
  • Members will be REQUIRED to wear face coverings at all times in accordance with state guidelines while in the club.
  • Members who are unable to wear a mask due to medical conditions will not be forced to wear one.

Temporarily Unavailable or Closed

  • During the initial reopening period, the following items or services will be eliminated: resistance bands, foam rollers, and ab mats. These items will return once items can be sufficiently sanitized and safe for member use.
  • Due to increased need of sanitation, hours will be changed with a temporary elimination of our 24 hours access membership.

Social Distancing

  • We have spaced our equipment to abide by the social distancing practices that are recommended. This has required us to disable some of our equipment and to clearly mark designated workout space for members.
  • As a constant reminder to our members and staff, physical distancing signage will be marked on cardio and strength machines as well as in lockers rooms and points of retail. Areas of the club that are difficult to properly social distance will have areas that are clearly marked on the floor to help members identify their own workout space. Signs will be on each machine proudly indicating when it was cleaned by staff last, as well as signage asking members to clean machine after each use.
