Creating a new fitness goal often stems from some sort of individual motivation. However, whether you want to lose weight or to be able to run a faster mile, chances are you’re going to need at least a little help along the way.

We recommend building a support system to encourage and motivate you throughout the process. It’s actually pretty easy to do and you might even inspire others to start working on fitness goals of their own.

Speak Up
Telling others about your goals is the first step to getting them on board. How can they help you if they don’t know what you are trying to accomplish? Ask them to respect your decision to go after your goal and not to tempt you with anything that might get you off track.

Join a Group
Working out with others is a great way to keep yourself motivated and to hold yourself accountable. If you skip a session, everyone will know! Try joining CFX TEAM training or a local running group. If you can’t find any local options, check online for workout programs with support groups. They will still hold you accountable even if it’s only virtually!
